Ioannis G. Zafirakis - Director, Executive Vice-President and Secretary
Ioannis G. Zafirakis has served as our Executive Vice-President and Secretary since February 14, 2008. Mr. Zafirakis has also been a Director of the Company since March 9, 1999. In addition, Mr. Zafirakis serves as an employee of Diana Shipping Services S.A.. From February 21, 2005 up to February 14, 2008, he served as Diana Shipping Inc.’s Vice-President and Secretary. Prior to February 21, 2005, Mr. Zafirakis was employed by Diana Shipping Agencies S.A. performing similar executive duties. He joined Diana Shipping Agencies S.A. in 1997, where he held a number of positions in its finance and accounting departments. Mr. Zafirakis holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from the City University Business School in London and a Master's degree in International Transport from the University of Wales in Cardiff.
